ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sally Morrison is an educator, linguist, and educational therapist who has spent more than twenty-five years helping people learn.

Her lifelong interest in language—how people create, express, and interpret meaning—eventually expanded into a broader fascination with how meaning operates in relationships and everyday human interactions. Along the way, she became preoccupied by a question she couldn't quite let go of: why do intelligent, well-intentioned people so often misunderstand themselves and one another?

The Story Gap is her invitation to explore this question through a framework for discovering what exists in the space between what happened and the story we tell ourselves about what happened.

Sally holds a Master's degree in Education and a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics.

She hopes The Story Gap helps readers become a little less certain, a little more curious, and a little more fluent in the language of the people they love.
